Dear Colleagues,

It is our pleasure to welcome you to the 2nd Transcaucasus Symposium on HBV Infection organized by Armenian Association for the Study of the Liver (ARASL) and Georgian Hepatology Association (GHA) to be held in Tbilisi, Georgia on September 27-28, 2019.

HBV is a global health problem, being a big issue for Caucasus region too. Prevalence is still high and awareness is still low. However, those things are to be changed!

Since 2015, Georgian HCV Elimination Project provided by Gilead sci. and Georgian government, supported by CDC and WHO, appears to be the main facilitator in improving HCV care, as well as raising awareness of HBV infection in Transcaucasus region. Considering recent achievements in HBV management, our cooperation with international experts presented in upcoming Symposium, will enable us to find the right path of improving HBV care in our region. The topics were carefully selected with regard to their practical value for physicians, as well as having in view HBV final elimination.   

We are  looking  forward to welcoming you  in the beautiful  city of  Tbilisi.

Since the meeting will be held in September which is one of the best and beautiful months in this region, and you will be able to enjoy taste of Georgian fruits, cuisine and wine. We hope your stay will be both productive and memorable.
